Vitamin E supports the maintenance of structural and functional stability of cells and cell organelles, for example erythrocytes, neurons, mitochondria, cell nuclei and endoplasmic reticulum. Vitamin E inhibits the oxidative alteration of lipoproteins, namely the LDL cholesterol fraction, thus reducing the formation of atherogenic lipoproteins, which are a major cause of the development of arteriosclerosis. Vitamin E also has a regulating effect on the metabolism of arachidonic acid to prostaglandins and leukotrienes. Natural vitamin E is preferentially absorbed by the body.
1 capsule contains 800 mg distillate of vegetable oil with 537 mg d-alpha-tocopherol (equivalent to 800 I.U. vitamin E), soybean oil and auxiliary substances.
